“Talk about them eating children.” -A Roca follower in our DMs

If we hadn’t been paying close attention to the Epstein discourse, this message we received last week would’ve jolted us slightly more than it did.

The reader is likely referring to a viral claim going around that Epstein and his pals dismembered and ate kids on his island. One post on X – with 45,000 likes and 700,000 views as of writing – reads:

In case anybody is confused; the Epstein Files have it in black and white print that they were dismembering CHILDREN, removing their organs and eating them.

It stopped being about politics a long time ago.

The claim is based on an FBI interview with a clearly disturbed man who came forward with some “recovered repressed memories” after Epstein died. Here’s a screenshot of the FBI’s account of the exchange (it’s graphic, so we advise viewer discretion):

In a follow-up email, the FBI agents noted that the man – who is unemployed, smokes weed, and lives in his mom’s basement – said his feet were cut in a ritualistic sacrifice (despite no scarring) and that George H. W. Bush raped him. He also made the claim that they dismembered and ate children.

All of this is, of course, disturbing beyond words but also obviously false. There are factual inconsistencies, and the man is clearly unwell. The FBI agents didn’t take the claims seriously, but X has.

In this deep-dive we investigate some of the most viral claims circulating from the latest Epstein Files disclosure, from Marjorie Taylor Greene saying Epstein got $80M from the lottery to do his crimes, to the claim from an alleged prison guard that Epstein got smuggled out of prison hours before his alleged death.

While legacy media prefers to stay out of the muck – until the muck goes mainstream, by which time it’s too late – we are ready to investigate these claims now. What are the facts? What is speculation? What’s AI or fabricated?
