Lemon’s Arrest
Former CNN anchor Don Lemon was arrested by federal agents in Los Angeles in connection with a protest at a Minnesota church.
Context
On January 18, a group of demonstrators entered Cities Church in St. Paul, Minnesota, during Sunday services. The group confronted a pastor they believed was employed by Immigration and Customs Enforcement. Demonstrators shouted “ICE out,” protesting the death of Renee Good, 37, who was shot by an ICE agent in Minneapolis earlier in January.
Arrest and Charges
Federal agents arrested Lemon last week in Los Angeles, where he was working at the Grammy Awards. Attorney General Pam Bondi announced that Lemon and three others were arrested in connection with what she called a “coordinated attack” on the church.
