Files Released
The Justice Department (DoJ) released more Epstein files this week after files that mentioned or included pictures of President Trump were briefly removed.
Context
The DoJ published its first batch of files related to Jeffrey Epstein on Friday, in accordance with a law ordering the DoJ to release all Epstein-related files. The release contained images of former President Bill Clinton and minimal references to Trump. Lawmakers from both parties criticized the release as incomplete and heavily redacted. On Monday afternoon, the DoJ posted a second batch of around 30,000 document pages, which were accessible for several hours before being removed around 8 PM. The department later stated that unauthorized actors had gained access to a private website where lawyers were reviewing documents.
Re-Release
The DoJ reposted the files shortly before midnight Monday and into Tuesday.
