Alan Dershowitz – one of the country’s most prominent attorneys – presented President Trump with a book outlining ways he could potentially serve a third term.
Context
Trump has repeatedly floated running for a third term, despite the Constitution saying that a president can not be elected to the office more than twice. Trump told reporters in October that the Constitution is “pretty clear” that he’s “not allowed to run.” Chief of Staff Susie Wiles also said in a new Vanity Fair interview that Trump “knows he can’t run again.”
Dershowitz is a Harvard Law professor and one of the country’s most prominent legal figures.
Book
Per The Wall Street Journal, Dershowitz met Trump in the Oval Office and presented him with a book he is working on entitled “Could President Trump Constitutionally Serve a Third Term?”
